About Us

My journey began with facilitation groups, then moved to addiction studies , where I quickly learned addiction is about the whole person, regardless of who they are, their family, and their life. That insight led me to three years of studying spirituality to explore hope and meaning in recovery, and finally to psychotherapy to integrate all these pieces. Addiction, spirituality, and psychotherapy form a threefold foundation for my holistic approach and  always remember we all have “clay feet.”

I hold a BSc (Hons) in Psychotherapy, diplomas in Addiction Studies and Spirituality, and my thesis focuses on pre-menopause, perimenopause, and menopause issues. I’m a member of the IACP, attend regular supervision, and am committed to ongoing professional development  integrating various frameworks and experience to offer a holistic, compassionate approach.

At the Heart of My Work

At the heart of me work is the inner child concept: looking at unmet childhood needs by reconnecting with the younger self with compassion and healing. We focus on moving toward healing, not blame  just understanding how disconnection drives triggers, negative self-talk, or self-sabotage. connecting helps us grow in self-understanding, with the goal of building healthier relationships.

My professional experience includes facilitating aftercare groups at the Rutland Centre in Dublin (where I have a good concept of 12-step programs), leading a spiritual group in an educational setting for four years, and running a gardening business for number of years which gave me unique insights into nature’s healing power.

Theoretical Foundations

My work draws on Carl Rogers’ core conditions, the inner child concept, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)  which provides practical tools for managing negative thought patterns and behaviours. These frameworks shape my understanding of life and the complexities of the human experience.

Approach
I use a psychoeducational, client-centred approach focused on empathy, validation, and fostering a safe therapeutic relationship. The goal is to empower you with knowledge and skills to manage your challenges, helping you become your own inner counsellor and inner parent  so you can navigate life with greater confidence and connection.
